The Glow of the Orange Moon

I could follow the orange glow,
That shimmered on the water’s crest;
The dark side of the moon, hidden from my curious gaze,
I want to know what’s out there, how the wind blows across the
Mystery we cannot see; unseen, vast, a barren land of dust.

It hovers on the water, extraordinary traveling light,
To make me stop and wonder,
Lending warmth to the starry night.

Go seek it out, go find it; why the moon glows orange tonight
I’ll take my things and set out,
I’ll step atop the surface,
I’ll walk across the water, to one day reach the orange moon;
it might have changed, and so will I.
But still I long to know,
It’s given me a reason
Caught within its glow.
