Sunshine

Listening to Let It Be
Chopping up some ginger for tea
Can’t believe I live in NYC
A day like today
Takes my breath away
Writing on a park bench
The first warm day of spring

Pizza boxes and computers on top of cars
Swagged out cats working outside
Grubbin on pie
It’s so damn beautiful
This city in the afternoon
At the turn of seasons
Turning of day
Everything that hurts now
With time one day will
Fade

And our shadow will be replaced
By the rays of morning
In the spring
The hole inside will fill with light
And the pain will have made
Sunshine
All the more
Healing
