Feels like I’ve been saying goodbye a lot lately. It’s the start of something new. Means we’re going up, changing; the good stuff sticks around, comes around, in ways we can’t explain.

Friendship ain’t just being together, it’s being around forever in nothing but heart and soul… Memories together crack my spirit with laughter when I’m on my own again — do you hear it? — maybe you feel it like an arm around your shoulder, the warmth of love in the air as it gets colder; we had perfect weather for the last three weeks while my friends were here.

Sunny days across the board, blue skies and good vibes. On the day they left, things changed. Once we said goodbye, heavy rain and thunderstorm swept across the sky.

Tokyo turned steely blue, stone gray with sleet and ice and wind; it was absolutely beautiful to feel the change.
