19 Nov Essence of You
After navigating stormy seas,
Safe harbor always to return,
Where you mustn’t hide behind self-built walls,
But only act, think, be, as you.
Life will blow you every which way,
Tempt and try, allure and mistify,
Sometimes, you feel you have no say.
You need the space to think about,
What truly makes you, you,
Break through the noise control,
The barrier of thought and truth.
Instead of speaking heartfelt words,
The artist’s tongue,
Explorer’s vision,
Your circumstances have more sway.
To get there past the point of no return,
You take a stand, line in the sand,
To live and learn,
To learn and live.
One is reactive,
One is purposeful,
Perhaps you need them both,
To find what makes you, you.
